12/23 - ok, i say 'day before' because i hated out sight seeing [in Bangkok] because it was so freakin' hot! we went to the grand palace but at around 11am-12pm! AT THE SUN'S PEAK! YOU CAN'T BEGIN TO TELL ME HOW HOT IT WAS! AND I WAS IN A FREAKIN' RENTAL SKIRT 'CAUSE 'MY PANTS ARE TOO SHORT'! AND IT WAS SO HARD TO WALK IN! sure the palace was cool and all that but the DAMN OUTFIT AND HEAT COULDN'T LET ME ENJOY IT! NOT TO MENTION ALMOST GETTING LOST DOZENS OF TIMES!... what a day. things only calmed down after sitting on 'happy seat' in wat mahannop (they were actually open to the public!). then my parents and sister got [certified] jewelry at the royal lapidary (sapphires, rubies and aquamarine gem stones) and went back to the hotel, had dinner and slept.

12/24 - ok, so today, we went to the temple of dawn and wat pho. this was more 'enjoyable'. why?
1 - we had a definite ride and plan
2 - we didnt spend too much time in the heat
3 - we had a guide
4 - we actually had lunch today (1st time the whole time we were here - since monday)
and later we got emerald earrings for myself and an aquamarine pendant when we were going to have my mom's ruby earrings staightened. then we went to the siam paragon and bought [more] manga for me in kinokuniya [again], had japanese for dinner then went back to the hotel (ast least me and my dad my mom and sister stayed behind to get my dad's bday cake)

so yeah...we are leaving tom - 12/25 - so i'll 'talk' or rant more then
